Hi! Readers,

It’s me again. I have commented a lot from some of your previous posts and it is but proper that our doctrines, based on the bible, should be learned directly from our presiding minister as he reads the verses to us. I do not want that the group that I belong to be judged according to what I said. Thus, may I just invite you to our Presiding Minister, Brother Eliseo Soriano’s Blog at:

Thanks for the space and God willing that we all grow in the Truth.

About The Posts

I am affiliated to Members, Church of God International, where I am taught, encouraged, and reminded to read the Holy Bible.  The Holy Scriptures becomes my basis of how to live my life accordingly.  I feel the love of God in every verses, on how He cared  for every creatures, which include man and angels. I use several books and verses from the Holy Bible in different translations that I believe answer my questions in life. I find refuge to the words of God in the Holy Bible, written by people He chose and appointed to write His words.

Proverbs 19:2 It isn’t good to have zeal without knowledge; nor being hasty with one’s feet and missing the way. 1Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his lips and is a fool.

I believe also that Brother Eli Soriano and Brother Daniel Razon are instruments for God’s just cause, and they were sent and appointed by God to read to us the Holy Scriptures.

I believe in the inner man of a person that is willing to obey God’s words.

2 Corinthians 4:

16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

1 Peter 3:4

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

And I believe that through Bro. Eli the cup overflows because with the help of the Holy Spirit, he discovered the many secrets in the Holy Scriptures that guide us in day to day life.

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Deuteronomy 17:19
It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the LORD his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees

Reading and understanding the scriptures are some of the priceless gift from God. I also realized that I need to be obedient in His commandments which is the reason why I was created. Bro. Eli is a living example that we can follow the commandments of God, similar to those holy people in the Old and New Testament times; and to those following their footsteps to righteousness, moving forward to holiness. As a Christian, I was called to be holy and righteous  in the sight of God as I strive to follow His commandments intended for the Christians. Those sins I committed in ignorance, weakness – or when I didn’t mean to do are being forgiven.

I was baptized in the Church of God, where the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit dwells.

With the passages in the Holy Bible, we, the MCGI brethren are being encouraged by Bro. Eli to assess ourselves whether we still in the faith in Jesus Christ.

Please read with me as I recollect and share with you the things I learned as I take Ang Dating Daan, (The Old Path). Let us discover where we are ignorant in God’s law for Christians, in doing so, we can shift our paradigm with God’s help to do good works with the right faith.  We can prevent ourselves to be fooled by a lot of people and even ourselves in terms of ungodly teachings and misguided principles in  life, that keep luring us to the materialistic world out there instead to the real world of God.

In life, there is a discipline every person must learn and the Holy Bible has been given for such purpose.

Proverbs 1: 7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

The world started to transform in my mind at the age of  five and I learned to face all the obstacles in my success as I grow old.  In this fight, I fight alone. Now it is high time to accept that I am nothing and I have been created for good works.  I have heard of God’s calling when nothing seems to matter to me that time. When I have no one to turn to. For that I am very grateful to the God that cannot lie. And I feel very fortunate for following His call.

20 Wisdom calls aloud in the street,
she raises her voice in the public squares;

21 at the head of the noisy streets she cries out,
in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:

22 “How long will you simple ones love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?

Proverbs 19:1 Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse.

Although rich people were not mentioned from the above verses, these impart the wisdom and understanding given by God are more important than material wealth. There are people who are in the third world but considered righteous for they discern the meaning of love or charity because they have heard the gospel and became obedient to God.

For people who has every opportunity and access to the Truth, work for your salvation while there is time. You are not like those who have not heard of the gospel neither has seen a Holy Bible.

I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Even rich people nowadays are looking for the answer and have relied in their own understanding. Others are very earnest but they have no knowledge about message from the Holy Bible.

Proverbs 19: 2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.

I learned that being earnest does not mean that I will be successful in life or will be saved. I need to plan and assess things around me in  a Christian way. There’s a need to observe and learn in Godly way. I observed that those people who have attained success in their own chosen or lucky places did not survive when their inner man died, they even attempted or committed suicide. I realized that no matter how far I go, even having friends, families, richness, fame, acknowledgments will be nothing if there is no God in my life, the One who can save my spirit from hell.

Proverbs 1:

23 If you had responded to my rebuke,
I would have poured out my heart to you
and made my thoughts known to you

24 But since you rejected me when I called
and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,

25 since you ignored all my advice
and would not accept my rebuke,

26 I in turn will laugh at your disaster;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you

27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.

28 “Then they will call to me but I will not answer;
they will look for me but will not find me

29 Since they hated knowledge
and did not choose to fear the LORD,

30 since they would not accept my advice
and spurned my rebuke,

31 they will eat the fruit of their ways
and be filled with the fruit of their schemes

32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them,
and the complacency of fools will destroy them;

33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety
and be at ease, without fear of harm.”

Even in the work place, complacency has no rewards. People tend to be very competitive. They say that they have found out that work and life balance is needed to satisfy the needs of an employee to be motivated and be more competitive. The discipline of the simple and fools are tricky. But then again, these people still have not recognized the discipline that God has already given in the old days.

Proverbs 19:

3 A man’s own folly ruins his life,
yet his heart rages against the LORD.

Where have we gone wrong? A lot of people, billions, has no spiritual discipline and yet when their errors ruin their life, they blame others, worse, they blame God.

Proverbs 19:

4 Wealth brings many friends,
but a poor man’s friend deserts him.

5 A false witness will not go unpunished,
and he who pours out lies will not go free

6 Many curry favor with a ruler,
and everyone is the friend of a man who gives gifts.

7 A poor man is shunned by all his relatives—
how much more do his friends avoid him
Though he pursues them with pleading,
they are nowhere to be found.

8 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
he who cherishes understanding prospers.

9 A false witness will not go unpunished,
and he who pours out lies will perish.

10 It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury—
how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!

In religion, I am not alone in a realization there are really teachers, leaders or pastors that has no knowledge of the scriptures who rules over people and sit kings and queens. God will not allow good people to diminish and disappear without a spiritual fight. There are those people who can teach us the truth who was appointed by God. Just find time to pray and let God guides you to that person. Read the Holy Bible.

Proverbs 19:

11 A man’s wisdom gives him patience;
it is to his glory to overlook an offense.

12 A king’s rage is like the roar of a lion,
but his favor is like dew on the grass.

13 A foolish son is his father’s ruin,
and a quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.

I am fortunate to have found a prudent wife coming from the Lord. I hope you find her too!

14 Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the LORD.

I learned not to be complacent. Some are disinterested as far as spiritual things are concerned.

15 Laziness brings on deep sleep,
and the shiftless man goes hungry

16 He who obeys instructions guards his life,
but he who is contemptuous of his ways will die.

17 He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD,
and he will reward him for what he has done.

18 Discipline your son, for in that there is hope;
do not be a willing party to his death.

19 A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty;
if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.

20 Listen to advice and accept instruction,
and in the end you will be wise.

21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart,
but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

22 What a man desires is unfailing love;
better to be poor than a liar.

23 The fear of the LORD leads to life:
Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.

24 The sluggard buries his hand in the dish;
he will not even bring it back to his mouth!

25 Flog a mocker, and the simple will learn prudence;
rebuke a discerning man, and he will gain knowledge.

26 He who robs his father and drives out his mother
is a son who brings shame and disgrace.

27 Stop listening to instruction, my son,
and you will stray from the words of knowledge.

28 A corrupt witness mocks at justice,
and the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil.

29 Penalties are prepared for mockers,
and beatings for the backs of fools.

I have been used to posting different verses in my post that sometimes, I find it more meaningful to leave it as is, without some reflections because I believe that wordings itself by the Holy Men of God are enough to be understood by people who are willing to learn.

I have realized that there are no explanation that can satisfy a person who is unwilling to learn and understand. But as soon as you accept that there is God, then all things will fall in its right place by knocking, seeking, asking about the Kingdom of God.

About Myself

Imagine yourselves in pain of having the gender that you did not ask for nor dream of. I learned to hate myself whenever I imagine that because the reality is, I am gay. Or maybe it is the feeling, of indifference caused by negative connotations that follow it. More so, when authorities in this field usually insinuate that being a homosexual or gay is tantamount to condemnation or eternal damnation to hell.

Can I really change, that is, to long for my opposite sex instead? I do not know, but what I know is that it has always been a part of my prayers that the emptiness that can be filled by the same gender be filled by His grace. I am hoping for God’s grace to shift my paradigm of belief that day by day taking my sanity. I am asking God to change my human thoughts and ideology.

It is by learning my purpose in life that I am able to accept my gender. Part of being gay is being human having an extra strength, curiosity, and open-mindedness. I think that whenever in pain and sorrow, I become one with my self, my consciousness. I can wake up from the reality: where everyone thought there is a role to play, but only a circus of clowns and deceptions.

Now, I find rest in Romans 8.

To wit a verse,

Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
I love my God, that One that cannot lie. And I know, I am a man enough, to realise and accept a part of the Truth that some has been blinded to recognise. I am not a man made from His own image and likeness, when I talk only about myself. I become “a man” because I am part of the body where the Head is Jesus Christ and the body is my fellow brothers in the church.

I believe that I am not of this world of materialistic point of view. I am also eternal. The right was stolen from me. And I have all the right to take it back. But how can I do that? Again I quote, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:

29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But in the end, I remain as an unworthy servant. To God be the glory!

Education 101

The Biblical Difference Between a Homosexual and a Sodomite

Romans 8

Life Through the Spirit

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, 4in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Future Glory

18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

More Than Conquerors

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Though I am gay, I found the wife of Jesus Christ – a wife where I am affiliated with, a body where I am a part of: the Church of God.

Proverbs 19:14 Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a

prudent wife

is from the LORD.

Proverbs 8:

34 Blessed is the man who listens to me,
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.

35 For whoever finds me finds life
and receives favor from the LORD

36 But whoever fails to find me harms himself;
all who hate me love death

Surely, David’s Psalms 23 in nowadays is being experienced by Bro Eli and the rest of the Members, Church of God International, each and everyday of our lives.

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD

    Good morning, Elman.

    Only today have I found your blog, and read just a little here. I have one thought for you: Each of us is born into sin, and thus we have sinful thoughts and urges. For some it is the temptation to steal; for others it is to lie or to be sexually promiscuous. We are not judged because of the nature of our temptations, for God has made a way of escape, and those who are wise turn to Him, repent of our sins, and ask for the infilling of the Holy Ghost, which gives us power to overcome our evil tendencies.

    Although I am in no way an expert on the subject, through the years, I have come to believe that there are well-intentioned people
    who want to serve God, but who are either born with homosexual tendencies, or through some circumstances have developed them. Having this temptation is not a sin, rather it is the acting out on them that is sinful, just as is the case with one who is tempted to lie, steal or murder.

    I pray God’s mercy and grace on you…and on me.

    Thanks for your kind words.

    I thanked God because of what is happening to me. He’s word is truth. I just hope that I will be able to do my part in His Church.

    I believe that I do not have problems of what I am. It is just that being who I am is hard to live with. But that does not mean that I am unfortunate. I am fortunate for I am concious of what I am, who I am, and of “self.” I am not a walking, living dead anymore. I am not a zombie anymore.

    If there are hardships because of the call of the flesh, which I try to ignore, I let the Spirit and my angel guide me. Jesus Christ is my helper, who shall I fear?

    I enjoin you to visit:

    For we need to be experts about the Holy Scriptures/The Holy Bible. I enjoin you to study with us. If God allows, we will be experts and will be able to walk in the path of righteousness.

    I have posted a lot of things in this blog. But, if there’s anything that needs correction, please inform me. Let us not rely from our own understanding. We have our guide in the person of Bro Eli who still in the position to answer our question about faith and read to us the answers from the Holy Bible.

    Let us always remember and take note of Jude 1. Some of the verses says:

    12These men are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves.

    They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead.

    13They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.

    5Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord[c] delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. 6And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. 7In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

    8In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings.

    10Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals—these are the very things that destroy them.

    11Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion

    9But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

    kapatid may tanong lang sana ako, ano pong masasabi mo tungkol sa repeated mistakes? is it unforgivable na ba? but according to the bible, God commanded Peter to forgive 70 times 7.

    That’s an interesting question. I suggest that you ask Bro. Eli Soriano at his twitter account at

    He updates it regularly, with God’s help, you will receive an answer. Let’s follow him in twitter.

    Galatians 6:6Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
