Television, Internet and what not: The Gospel of God reaches you

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 (King James Version)

For God so loved the world…” this is a part of the first Bible verse that I memorized since I was a kid, and maybe yours too!  But our  understanding of that verse may differ because of our different religious denomination.

Only when I discovered the TV programs of Members, Church of God International/MCGI that I understood that verse and a lot more in spirit and in truth, hosted by Bro. Eli Soriano, who also is the Presiding Minister.   These religious TV programs include Ang Dating Daan/The old Path; and Itanong Mo Kay Soriano, Biblia ang sasagot/Ask Bro. Eli, the Bible shall answer.

While listening to the said program I found out that my old Church, Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry (JMCIM/JMC), is not the true Church of God. I realized that the teachings and commandments we follow from JMC are not biblical, which include the prohibition of watching television. During those times, we were not allowed to watch television because it is evil and worldly. Despite of that, my father bought us a colored TV.

There really are pastors, preachers and alike who are eager to understand the Holy Bible. But they use human ideas to interpret it and there are members who fall for their trap. For example, watching TV or using the Internet becomes a taboo, a source of evil for them. Isn’t it ironic that they use television to propagate their congregation? In order to maintain the numbers of their congregants they prevent them from watching other religious programs.

Without the biblical understanding from God, not only televisions and the internet become a taboo based from false doctrines. Some were even told to drink juices with cyanide, some were told that touching snakes and snake venom won’t harm them; and other works that even to human standards are unreasonable.

Television and Internet per se is not bad neither evil. These are technological advances that can be used to propagate the word of God to more people. I daily learn about God’s words, the biblical understanding through television that changed my life for the better.

John 3:16, For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

The brethren in MCGI, including Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel have been helping each other  to pay for a time-slot in order to propagate the words of God.

Thanks be to God that after being sought for by false preachers in the Philippines with the intent to pull these men of God out from broadcasting, we have a more secured TV Station to spread God’s word and to serve humanity, UNTV37. It can be browsed online untvweb.

Bro Eli can be reached and asked via his own twitter account, BroEliSoriano and his biblical answers can be read through his wordpress – esoriano. Bro Daniel Razon has a twitter too – DanielRazon. They can also be reached through the Official Website of MCGI.

I thank God for calling me through Bro. Eli.

And while technology develops from time to time, many souls will be reached. This is not a game of chance, but rather a rational and biblical way of spreading the word of God.

Thank God, I truly understand the following verses:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 (King James Version)

18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 28 (King James Version)
