What is Abraham’s Nationality: in flesh, and in spirit?

One of the blogs I found entitled, THE ONLY TRUE RELIGION DEBATE, that believes in a supreme being, a GOD, encourages religious denominations to talk about their belief and faith. It is moderated by sufi786.  Among the religious denominations mentioned are the Jews, the Christians, and the Muslims and they are given a question in one of the posts:

Was Abraham(p) Jew ? Christian? or a Muslim ?

But the real Christians would not wage war with the Muslims. We are infact are just letting people know of what the Holy Bible says. We will not kill or hurt anyone who will say bad things about our God, and even to our Lord Jesus Christ. Our God has designated a time when He shall judge the people according to their works. Our God, our Father, wants all men to be saved, especially to those who believe.

Jesus said, love your enemy, feed them, give them water to drink. The time will come when Jesus Christ will reign for a thousand years. Those who have not heard of Him and God’s gospel will be able to listen for the Devil shall be chained. The time will come when Jesus Christ will be known by everyone, and everyone will bend their knees to Him. After the things prophesied have all come to pass, Jesus Christ, as he came from the Father, will return to the Living God.

I will not debate on a Muslim’s stand. I will not debate on what the Koran says.

I am talking about what the Holy Bible reveals to the true Christians. I say true Christians because there are other religious denominations who call themselves christians but their deeds prove otherwise. They are hypocrites and they do what their father wanted to do, the Devil, they are all liars.

The Holy Bible of the True Christians tells of Abraham’s experience, when Abraham’s thought was fulfilled when he saw the day of Jesus Christ, and he was glad. Even the Jews was greatly shocked hearing about what Jesus said about himself and his relationship to God, his Father. If the Jews was following the Law, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultery, then I won’t wonder why the Muslim would prefer not thinking that Abraham is not a Jew. Definitely, if Abraham is a Jew, then all the ideas of this Muslim, like pillars placed on the sand, when shaken, will fall into pieces.

I told sufi786 that I learned that the advent of Muhammad was none existent without the Holy Bible of the Christians. For one, (the Muslims) they are referring to the Holy Bible to prove Muhammad being their prophetCorrect me if I am wrong, some Muslims believe this according to Dr. Jamal Badawi’s pamphlet titled, “Muhammad in the Bible.”

sufi786 said,

“Elmantheman NO we Muslims do not need your Scriptures Bible to prove the existence of Prophet Muhammad (s) because Prophet Muhammad (s) is an well know historical figure from Arabia and we don’t need to add anything else , for we have with us the last and final Holy Book of God The Quran which is unchanged by the way since 1400 hundred years , Unlike Bible which is full of Human wirings and corruption mixed with the true Message of Lord .

The main reason I am Quoting the verses of Bible is for the benefit of the Christians and Jews for they may understand the true Message and Religion of Lord from their own books and accept the last and final message of God The Quran and believe in the last and final Messenger of God Prophet Muhammad(s) .”

In light of this since sufi786 has quoted verses from the Bible, let me just give verses how some people, including some Muslims, nowadays think of Jesus Christ.  But if sufi786 and those people who think like him, will put their feet in the shoes of the Jews,  they will come into understanding that Jesus Christ answered them already:

John 8: (NIV)

52At this the Jews exclaimed, “Now we know that you are demon-possessed! Abraham died and so did the prophets, yet you say that if anyone keeps your word, he will never taste death.

53Are you greater than our father Abraham?

He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?”

54Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me. 55Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and keep his word. 56Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”

57″You are not yet fifty years old,” the Jews said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”

58″I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” 59At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

Abraham learned of the faith that is in Jesus Christ. To be obedient to God. To be God fearing. To fear God means to follow all his commandments. Certainly, not the Law of Moses, but the Law of Faith that came with Jesus Christ.

Abraham’s deed when he accepted to offer his own son Isaac to the Lord prove that he has a faith that is alive. Because faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:20-26)

Moving forward, Moses comes into the history of the Bible and was given the Old Testament for his people.

Let us read about Moses. Was he told of Jesus Christ’s manifestation in the flesh?  Of course, the reason why Moses told his brothers about this event that will take place in the future.

Deuteronomy 4 (NIV):

25 After you have had children and grandchildren and have lived in the land a long time—if you then become corrupt and make any kind of idol, doing evil in the eyes of the LORD your God and provoking him to anger, 26 I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed. 27 The LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you. 28 There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell.

29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. 31 For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath.

Acts 3:22

For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.

Now why is it one of the reasons why God sent Jesus Christ to the Israelites, Jews, as the prophet that He promised?

Exodus 20

18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance

19and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”

In addition to the above, you can also read my other post, “Listen, Moses is read but a veil covers their hearts.” Of course the prophecy in the old testament shall be realized, and we are fortunate enough that we are seeing these things come true.

Acts 3:22

For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.

St Paul said this as he reflects on what he learned from the old scriptures or prophecy:

Deuteronomy 18:15

The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.

But God allowed that Abraham see first the New Testament, because it is a part of God’s plan that falls into its right place.

I have so many things that I have learned about Jesus Christ, and about the Living God, The God of Israel. One, I learned that the Father God cannot lie. I learned that the Bible did not refer to the Holy Ghost/Spirit as a God. I learned that God, whose name is Father, is greater than Jesus Christ. They are both God. But when you ask the Father, He doesn’t know any God greater than Him. This is because, for one, The Father is greater than Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ affirmed this and he confirmed what was written by the prophets that he is the begotten son of the Father.

The Father gave a promise and it will surely happen because He is a God that cannot lie. Even Jesus Christ testifies of this, who remained obedient even to his death, has seen the world even before the Father made it. Jesus Christ is the Father’s witness, because they are together in that earth where they live. They live on that earth before God created the heavens, even before the angels, even before Adam, even before the Muslims. Please, read this again where the Wisdom has revealed of himself, the wisdom is Jesus Christ before even the world began:

Proverbs 8:22-26 (NIV)

12I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence;

I possess knowledge and discretion.

13 To fear the LORD is to hate evil;

I hate pride and arrogance,

evil behavior and perverse speech.

14 Counsel and sound judgment are mine;

I have understanding and power.

15 By me kings reign

and rulers make laws that are just;

16 by me princes govern,

and all nobles who rule on earth.

17 I love those who love me,

and those who seek me find me.

18 With me are riches and honor,

enduring wealth and prosperity.

19 My fruit is better than fine gold;

what I yield surpasses choice silver.

20 I walk in the way of righteousness,

along the paths of justice,

21 bestowing wealth on those who love me

and making their treasuries full.

22 “The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works,

before his deeds of old;

23 I was appointed from eternity,

from the beginning, before the world began.

24 When there were no oceans, I was given birth,

when there were no springs abounding with water;

25 before the mountains were settled in place,

before the hills, I was given birth,

26 before he made the earth or its fields

or any of the dust of the world.

27 I was there when he set the heavens in place,

when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,

28 when he established the clouds above

and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,

29 when he gave the sea its boundary

so the waters would not overstep his command,

and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.

30 Then I was the craftsman at his side.

I was filled with delight day after day,

rejoicing always in his presence,

31 rejoicing in his whole world

and delighting in mankind.

32 “Now then, my sons, listen to me;

blessed are those who keep my ways.

33 Listen to my instruction and be wise;

do not ignore it.

34 Blessed is the man who listens to me,

watching daily at my doors,

waiting at my doorway.

35 For whoever finds me finds life

and receives favor from the LORD.

36 But whoever fails to find me harms himself;

all who hate me love death.”

And why did the wisdom become flesh?

Philippians 2:

1If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

6Who, being in very nature God,

did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

7but made himself nothing,

taking the very nature of a servant,

being made in human likeness.

8And being found in appearance as a man,

he humbled himself

and became obedient to death—

even death on a cross!

9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place

and gave him the name that is above every name,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.

12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

I am not saying lies, but rather I am saying of what is written in the Holy Bible.

I have so much to say, and it is all in the Holy Bible. Ask our Presiding Minister Bro Eli, the bible shall answer.

Also I said that Bro Eli Soriano said he has no debate with the Muslims as they use the Koran and not the Bible and so there is no common reference to speak of.

    member of MCGI Cebu Chapter,

I will take note of your comment. But I find the need to delete your comment as what you relayed is something not good for the both of us, even for our readers in this comment area.

In the Church of God where Members Church of God International cleaves, we follow the commandments of Jesus Christ, which includes loving the enemy.

    Matthew 22 (New International Version)

34Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:

36″Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

38This is the first and greatest commandment.

39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Was there any insinuation of the second word you use about faith? Or is it in your mind only? I deleted it because it might confuse someone reading here. But thank God, a Christian is commanded to love his enemy,

    Romans 12:20
On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

    Matthew 25 (New International Version)

34″Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

41″Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44″They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45″He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46″Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

    Matthew 22 (New International Version)

41While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42″What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?”

“The son of David,” they replied.

43He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? For he says,

44” ‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
    until I put your enemies
    under your feet.”

’45If then David calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?”

46No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Anyways, for to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (we are no allowed to kill anyone)

    Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

I am not afraid to be imprisoned as my claims are not my claims but are documented by links where it came from. Atleast, you might expect not to be imprisoned for remaining anonymous. But to be imprisoned for the sake of telling the truth, and be able to impart that there are Christians who follows the undefiled Gospel of God, so be it.

By the way, what is your stand about Abraham’s nationality?

  2. January 31, 2008 at 10:50 am

To member of MCGI Cebu Chapter:

    You’re back, ohhh!

So, how is your faith goin? I hope it’s goin strong and sturdy in the right tract in accordance to God’s divine will.

Anyways, I just wanna comment on statements which I quoted below:

YOU SAID: [“”But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger”

And that is the answer brother in faith and church for the question of how to understand more the scripture.”]

In what sense does the verse speak of? Is it on the essence of understanding the holy Scripture or on the essence of life that we, the Biblical Christians, should live in Christ and with Christ. The matter is that, you’re carelessly quoting verses from the Scriptures. You even quoted them without giving nor providing the source like the book, chapter and the verses’ number. One thing more is that, we are strictly instructed by Bro. Eli and more so by the Bible that we must be an honest reader, hearer, follower, user and quoter of the Bible and its verses and pronouncements.

On the issue of having vision or prophecy, you are just hallucinating things out of the craftiness of your mind and heart and of your wildest dream and even being paranoid and obsessed to be a modern day prophet. Where did you get the authority or the right to prophesy? What biblical provisions or framework that support your vision or revelation? I’m 100% sure that the personal revelation you shared to us is a fowl one when we take the stance of the holy Scriptures.

If you truly are a brother in faith, you must be becoming and be aware of the strict discipline we have inside the household of faith, the Church of God which we are bound to follow and obey religiously as we can as much as possible with God’s divine help. (1 Timothy 3:15)
15 “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou OUGHTEST TO BEHAVE THYSELF in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” (KJV)

Remember that it aint our choice or will to follow the strict discipline in the Chruch but rather the choice and will of God since we have already denied our self-righteousness before God and He has already the ultimate control over our lives till the end unless you’re already a reprobate-is the essential and complete meaning of His “Almightiness” that takes place and power over us above all.

Watch yourself brother if you truly are a brother in faith and repent. Examine yourself whether you’re still in the faith of Christ Jesus or not. (2 Corinthians 13:5)
5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” (KJV)

And of course, I do it too. I am always cautious and conscious of myself whether I’m still in the faith or not for it is the very command and instruction of St. Paul to all of us who are in the Church of God.

    Lovingly yours,

Xian, d’ Omninothing in the sight of Father Almighty

  3. January 31, 2008 at 11:28 am

    To Bro. Elman,

Well, about my stance on the nationality of Abraham, based on my understanding to the Scriptures and to the preachings of Bro. Eli (though I might err with my understanding and for that, I stand corrected) Abraham is a ultimately a true and biblical Christian. He is called the father of Faith (Romans 4:11-13)
13 “And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the FATHER OF THEM ALL THAT BELIEVE, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:”

12 “And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.”

16 “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the FATHER OF US ALL,” (KJV)

I remember that Christianity was founded primarily in LOVE, in Faith and in HOPE. Though Love is the greatest of all since it is eternal, (1 Corinthians 13:13)
13 “And now these three remain: FAITH, HOPE and LOVE. But the greatest of these is love.” (NIV)

FAITH is essentially vital too since it is a Christianity thing, the second in degree of LOVE, that is essentially relevant to the salvation of the saints. (Colossians 1:5)
5 “…the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel…” (NIV)

Speaking of the faith, deeper and deeper meaning of it are revealed to us already. Remember that the New Testament that contains the gospel is no longer new but rather the old one older than the Old Testament. The Old Testament was written, administered and executed by the prophets spearheaded by Moses. Yet, the old New Testament (containing the Gospel) which we call today is already made known to father Abraham in the past long long years before Moses and the Israelites had existed. (Galatians 3:8)
8 “And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, PREACHED BEFORE THE GOSPEL UNTO ABRAHAM, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.” (KJV)

Therefore, with the conviction given to me, I strongly believe and asserted that father Abraham is indeed a true biblical Christian. But if I am wrong with this, I stand corrected by you Brother Elman and by Brother Eliseo Soriano. And I will just wait for his thorough biblical explanation of these matters on one of our forthcoming Thanksgiving as promised by Bro. Eli to discussed them before the saints when God permits in His perfect time. See you there in Apalit, Pampanga!

More power to your blog Brother! To God be all the glory! Amen.

Thanks God for His unspeakable gifts!

    Bro. Elman,

Well, if you will be imprisoned for the Gospel and the Truths of God’s Words sake, don’t worry ‘coz we are with you. And not just imprisoned but killed as one of the Martyrs of our Lord Jesus Christ, then so be it. I know if that will happen to you, to me, to Bro. Eli, to Bro. Daniel, and to everybody else who are in the Church of God, well I am sure, we will be very thankful to God for His unspeakable gifts for that.

I really wish that may the will of God be done in our very lives as His omninothing servants and slaves. I really wish to die while I am caught in the act of doing God’s righteousness and glory for I know that rest assured, we are saved with God’s will and divine power. I want and wish to be killed in the act of doing God’s divine will… and be very happy and thankful to take my last breath in God, to God, for God, with God… That is the noblest sanity we can offer to God the Highest…

Go… go… go… Bro Elman towards perfection. Let’s join hands for this run and course we have receive from the Godhead.

Thanks God for His unspeakable gifts!

To God be all the glory! Amen.

To “member of MCGI Cebu Chapter,”

I noticed that you really have your own interpretations of the bible just like Msamudio when you commented from his post found from the link below:

You have a comment about St Peter and it is really different and unbiblical.

Your name has no link to any blog of yours.
    Titus 1:

10For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group. 11They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—and that for the sake of dishonest gain.

12Even one of their own prophets has said, “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.”

13This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith 14and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of those who reject the truth.

15To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

16They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

    2 Timothy 3:7
always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.

I can’t understand why we used that statement of Titus brother in our present situation.

and also I can’t understand why Titus behave like that.

  9. March 12, 2008 at 5:45 pm

    Titus 1:

13This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith 14and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of those who reject the truth.

May I ask you eyes2eyes, do you believe that Jesus Christ is a God?

  10. eyes2eyes
    March 12, 2008 at 7:33 pm

Dt:5:6: I am the Lord thy God, ………

Dt:5:7: Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

Our Father in heaven speak that situation in this manner brother:

Remember the word “before” it mean that there is no other God ahead or above on him.

but it does not mean that there is no other God beside on him.

because if that so, it will conflict the statement of our lord Jesus Christ:

    Jn:10:35: If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Jesus Christ is our lord and also our God but the Father in heaven is greater than him.

Jn:10:33: The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Jn:14:28: Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

  11. March 12, 2008 at 9:01 pm

    Deuteronomy 32:39
“See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand.

    Isaiah 44:6
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

    Isaiah 44:8
Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

    Isaiah 45:5
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

    Isaiah 45:21
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Be careful on your explanation. Whether there is a word beside or besides, we still need to take into consideration why, when, where, what, and how it was said. Give supporting verses of your claim or it just remains your claim and nothing else on someone else’s point of view.

    Hosea 13:4
Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.

I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and he is a God too.

ahh… there is no contradictory of that statement brother, The Father in heaven speak that situation for his authority and power.

    And Jesus Christ said:

Mt:26:39: ……………, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

In short brother when our lord Jesus Christ risen a dead person , then it is also the will of the Father in heaven.

Jesus Christ camed on earth not to glorify himself but for the Father in heaven which has an absolute power and authority in the universe and beyond the universe.

ahh… in order that you will understand my point brother.

did you not notice that my statement start in the following:

“The Father in heaven speak that situation ….,. ”

so it means brother, it is not a matter of “word or literal” but a matter of situation.

so don’t focused in “word or literal ” because we can used the same “word or literal” in different situation.

    1 Corinthians 8:2
The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know.

    Galatians 6:3
If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

    1 Timothy 6
1All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered. 2Those who have believing masters are not to show less respect for them because they are brothers. Instead, they are to serve them even better, because those who benefit from their service are believers, and dear to them. These are the things you are to teach and urge on them.

3If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,
4he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions
5and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

11But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
17Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

20Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called

21which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith.
    Grace be with you.

    Galatians 6:3
If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Lk:6:40: The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

Lk:6:41: And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Mt:5:15: Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Mt:5:16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Mt:6:22: The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

The origin of knowledge is God. it just the people who abuse it.

Prv:1:29: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:

Hos:6:6: For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Mal:2:7: For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.

    Romans 16:17
Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.

    1 Corinthians 14:26
What is the outcome then, brethren? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation Let all things be done for edification.
