The Voice within
Below is my comment in the post entitled, “LITTLE VOICES.”
Yeah it’s a crazy world out there, even when the “self” or “I” speaks, the subjectivity, a colorful combination of knowledge that blinds us of the reality which the bible imparts. That is one of the reasons why I am relaying the importance of the verses in the Holy Scripture because when you study it, the words there are enough to make a point, no need for subjectivity or own interpretation. That is, when you no longer require milk, when you are ready to eat meat.
Well, the confusion that some of us experience are also due to lack of knowledge in a discipline (school of taught) that we landed into, whether it be voluntary or involuntary. And for us to fill the gaps, the holes, of which we lack, we turn into keeping and insisting to fill it in with some knowledge of a different discipline. Sometimes, it’s a total new school of taught after the adulteration, if not, revisions. Take for example Christianity. From the Holy Scripture, there is no such thing as an omnipotent God. Even Christianity nowadays have a new discipline having doctrines formulated by the deceivers, taking a little of Buddhism like karma;a lot of paganism (Catholics are one of them on kneeling on idols); divination of the death; etc, which are all against what Jesus Christ teaches.
But I enjoin you to start re-learning, because from this, we can focus on which is true. If you want Christianity, think first of what the denomination you are into. What are they teaching you? What are they obliging you to do and not to do? Is it biblical? I believe that as Christians, we have a source of knowledge, the God of Israel – and His words were taken into account in the form of the bible.
Let me tell you, a man has an inner man, that is willing, but the flesh is week. When the Spirit is ready, it becomes victorious over the flesh. As Christians, we have the Spirit and also an angel that guides us and protect us from evil spirits. Evil spirits can be in the form of vices, lust, pleasure from entertaining to much of a thing(gluttony), etc.
To sum it all up, I learned that the verses in the bible, those that are considered significant for our salvation, are the words that continuously echo in our heart. Can the Holy Spirit verbalize words to our ears literally? Of which I do not know yet. But as of now, I know that the Spirit speaks through the written words of God. Who else and by what means can a Spirit speak to us? Is it not through our Spirit too? We digest the words coming from God. It is a manna that never spoils, it gives life, it is the source of life. We digest these words spiritually speaking and this lingers in our hearts, and that is the thing that reverberates in our ears.
2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
1 Peter 3:4 Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
Please allow me to state, although it may not be enough, but somehow below 4 verses in the bible adds to my basis of my above claims:
Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says:
“These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
is made up only of rules taught by men.
