What God can’t possibly do…?

I heard from a radio jock that if God can create a rock that he cannot lift, then He cannot do everything, therefore it can be considered as part of things that he possibly cannot do.

That seems to be true when a man gives his human idea about what God cannot possibly do.

Indeed, man is on earth while God is above the heavens. Why would then I think of chickens and eggs analogy to answer the given question.  And I think it does not elevate man’s mind nearer to God!

What I know is that those written in the bible, have something to do for our salvation. Thus, we should look or consider what the bible say about the question, “What God cannot possibly do?”

To give a biblical example that in some aspects not everything is possible to God, it was said in the scripture that is impossible for God to lie:

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Psalm 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

    The fact is that God can certainly create a rock that He Himself cannot lift. Then, He can lift that rock. He is beyond our limited ideas of what “can” and “cannot” be. He is the one Supreme Person Who possesses the unlimited potency to fully reconcile all seemingly opposing principles.
