Learning the Bible

Fools learned from fools and went everywhere to teach.

Almost all people have been collecting ideas from everywhere: from buddhism to catholicism, and even atheism and incorporate these that results to their new set of belief and faith.  A pure and undefiled religion becomes the opposite, an adulterated religion.

What is obviously wrong with this is that they would even prefer calling themselves, Christians. How can they profess that they are Christians when they consult the dead, believe in ghosts of their departed ones, even in karma.

Blatantly, even atheist themselves use Christian teachings or scenarios found in the bible to suffice their self interest as a reference to what they want to prove regardless if they believe in God or not.

Let me just inform you that when you want to learn about the Bible, and even God, you need to drop first all the things you learned about it; everything that was taught to you. Drop it the source of confusion! Let us re-learn and forget what everybody said about what Christianity and Religion is, most of all the adulterated idea about God.  Let us put things in their proper perspectives.

Now, that is the beginning of wisdom. Like building a structure, you need to start from the base or the foundation to make sure that it will stand the test of time.

Matthew 7:

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

28And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

29For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

It is but high time to realize that almost all those who established their own church taught us not having the authority, but as scribes.

They are hypocrites! They have all the money, the bed, the food. Even in the Philippines, bishops here wear a lot of jewelries and have their haciendas. But look at one of the Catholic churches in Quiapo, most of the beggars there are children.

When you learn about God from these priests, no wonder why you will hate God.

Romans 1:

21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.  32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. But let me remind you, when there is a false teaching, there is also a true teaching. Help others find it. Let us not stop those people who cares to find the truth!

Psalms 53:

1The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.”

For sure, they will ask:  Who’s going to teach me about the bible? Who shall introduce me to the God of the Bible?

No less than the author of this blog: esoriano.wordpress.com, Bro Eli Soriano. Ask him and the bible shall answer.

    Brother,
I’m concerned about your last two paragraph’s. It sounds to me like you are lifting up a man. Men can teach us many things as God works through them, but they are certainly not the Bible, nor The Spirit of God which is our teacher and is able to teach us all truth.

    God be with you,
    Richard

Yes the Spirit helps us to discern the things of God. But how can the Spirit helps you to discern when the doctrines that should have been taught to you was neglected by the one who baptised you? You are just parroting what your human baptiser said to you, it is reflected on your words.

Let me show you some verse why we listen to our Bro. Eli Soriano,

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

He has been reading to us what we need to learn and prepare for before the coming of Jesus Christ. Because as said by Apostle Paul, we shall be judging the angels. How can you judge them if you do not know the commandments? In connection to baptism, how can you accept the doctrine of baptism if it was not explained to you by reading to you the related verses from the bible?

How can you understand this if nobody will interpret it for you, using not his idea but that which is already written from the bible?

How about you rjperalta? Are you sure that the spirit is talking to you? When you questioned me for saying that we need to know all the commandments before we submit ourselves to baptism, that shows how unlearned you are! We are not lifting ourselves, that’s how hypocrites sees us when we talk because they cannot accept the truth!

You have deleted all my comments and your answer from your blog. That shows how hypocrite you are.

This was my other comments that you have deleted:

Thanks for allowing my comment to stand.

Another point that you raised was baptism can be done anywhere, like in a church building. But then again, did I say otherwise? What I said was that the church as a body of christ is the one authorised to implement baptism, not just any church. Is it your church or any other church? Are all the church you know has been following all the doctrines of Jesus Christ like this: women should not cut their hair but rather let it grow as it is a glory to her?

What is wrong with my last two paragraphs? Indeed, I am continously learning the reason why I said the my understanding is limited but not like yours. I am not lifting myself, I am just telling the truth.

Why did I say that you jumped instead of taking each steps in the ladder when it comes to the commandments of Christ?

Because you have been talking about one being born of the spirit of God when in fact you haven’t learned of all the doctrines of Jesus Christ.

How can you have the faith when you have not listened? What shall you listen about? Of course the doctrines. Once you know and have learned all the doctrines, that is the time you can decide if you accept the doctrines or not. Baptism is a part of the doctrines.

    Romans 10

14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

    Is baptism a commandment?

Matthew 28:19?Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Once you have indoctrinated a person, that’s the time you can presumme that he knows what he is accepting. That is the time he decides if he’ll go through baptism.

We have enjoined ourselves to the Church Jesus Christ established, not anyone else. Of course, anyone can say that they too joined Christ. But you can distinguish the one telling the truth by the doctrines.

1Tim 1:7 And those who wanting to be teachers of the law, but without understanding either what they are saying or what they assert with such assurance.

you have the option to find out more about our faith. we affiliated ourselves to the church of God mentioned by Paul. You can notice how other websites or denominations that based their faith on inventions, they use the bible, though but most of their teachings are inventions, even the foundation of their teaching. But let me just say, our Presiding Minister, Bro Eliseo Soriano can answer all your questions about the faith based on the bible.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

John 7: 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Since you want to know the truth, study our doctrine whether it be of God or whether we speak of ourselves. To God be the Glory, forever.

Excuse me, if my explanation be like a book, as long as I am telling the truth, so be it. Unlike those hypocrites that gives a brief explanation but leads others to fallacy.

If you can’t understand what I am saying, at least read the verses that I mentioned. And if you can’t understand it, well, you might as well search yourselft if the spirit is really in you.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

John 7: 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Just to summarise, you cannot be a christian by just a snap of a finger. There are steps to be followed. You need to teach the doctrine first where baptism is a part of. Once the person accepts the doctrine, then he can proceed to the next level, that is, baptism. After baptism, you can reiterate to your new brethren to observe all the commandments that he learned.

    Matthew 28:

19?Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
