Christmas, Snow and God
Hosea 6:3 Let us acknowledge the LORD;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,

like the spring rains that water the earth.”
“Soon, it will be Christmas Day,” a line in a song being played all over the world in celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth. Almost everyone believed that Jesus Christ was born on a 25 of December. 
This holiday is celebrated too by different Christian denominations even though most of them do not believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church. A snow plays an important part in the scenario of a Christmas day (please refer to below first comment or link), unfortunately, even utilizing it to commercialized this holiday. Just look at the painting depicting a baby in a manger during a snow day and realise the deceit people made to believe. I have not experienced having a natural snow in the Philippines as we only have two seasons, summer and rainy seasons, and neither there was snow in Bethlehem during Christ’s birth according to the book of Luke:

8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
Of course, the pagan the Catholic Church that she is, idolatry and profit cannot be separated resulting from this tradition and custom:
Jeremiah 10:

Well, recently I witnessed a snow though from a korean-novela, which I watched for almost four days within two weeks entitled, “Couple or Trouble.”
Two things caught my attention in this movie, an insane lady and a scene where the snow began to fall. A lady who is insane, shown in the story as a careless, loving individual talks senselessly but the sincerity and truth can be read between her lines. She usually says that her love will come when the snow falls and on the last episode, during a conversation to her friend, the lady protagonist, she stated that she will remain hopeful and will wait for the protagonist’s return and believes that it will happen as soon as it snows. And the plot falls into its place. The issues were resolved but not according to the Christian doctrines.
1 Corinthians 7:
10To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.
This movie like other movies obviously is a fiction, though it lacks too much violence, compared to the world we are living now. Sadly, even the existence of God is not shown here, if one can notice. Obviously, it is an intertwining of dilemma and emotions, a story made out of the creative mind of its author.
I continued watching the later part of the movie after attending our two-day International Thanksgiving of the Members, Church of God, that made me appreciate in someways, the ending of the drama and not because of what happened to the protagonists and antagonists or the story itself but because one thing remained true in what I seen, the seasons that God created, which testify of His existence and our need for Him.
Genesis 8:22 “As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease.”
Life and this world are constantly changing including the emotions and experiences of every human beings, even the unseen. It is only God that is constant. Even I, as a gay individual, my needs and wants also change, even my emotions. During the said international thanksgiving last 22 to 23 of December, my understanding of God’s love to humanity, has gone deeper. I even understood what kind of man gays are and our purpose in life. The life inside the Church of God, we learned to count our birthdays as Christians, as we practice holiness -because it is essential in the everlasting life.
One part of the topic being read to us by Brother Eliseo Soriano (Bro Eli), with the use of the Bible and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, made me feel that he was talking to me directly, during the prophesying. He said that gays like me, in reality, are not the eunuch mentioned from the verse, the third example, when we decided to remain a bachelor for the sake of the kingdom of God. Why? It is because we are not in the position to choose like that of a real man on whether to pursue a wife or not. The characteristics of a eunuch should be that of a man that has all the qualities to satisfy the needs and wants of his wife and family biblically but opted not to marry and pursues the kingdom of God as a bachelor instead.
Matthew 19:
11 Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”
And what I undestood just the same is that the kingdom of heaven is neither a choice but a grace given to us Happy and gay Christians too.

1Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry.
7I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.
8Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am.

I enjoin everyone, more so, the brethren, to be all grateful to the Living God; and be hopeful, faithful, and charitable partakers in the innermost core being of the Church of God, and to let love be abundant in our works.
My point here is that people, regardless of race and gender, have the capacity to do good. Even God, the true Christians’ God, the God of Israel, the Living God, expressed this in the Holy Bible saying that He wants all men to be saved. Therefore, He really gave a chance to those who haven’t heard about Him, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, even so, to them whom preaching have not reached yet but doing what is good written in their hearts. But some people overlooked the truth, though others are seeking it, for they do not understand themselves, their existence. And instead, they opted to create a knowledge and or adapt to the norms created by people who lived ahead of them or around them.
A role now was prophesied in the scriptures, where a man will be able to come in and out in the Church of God to be able to preach the gospel to all. He will be an instrument for the chosen ones to help them see the things that the apostles seen, and not only what they saw, but those unseen things.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
And Brother Eli Soriano is this man who reads to us the word of God, and who himself take to heart what is written in it together with the Church of God who listens to the words of the prophecy.

God wants us to be as white as snow.

There are so many things, even the unseen and unknown, that we should be grateful for to the Living God of Israel. And so we say,
“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift” (II Corithians 9:15)
Preacher Uncovers December 25th as Christ’s Birthday a Roman Catholic Lie

Roman Catholic teachings and traditions were derived from pagans in Rome and not from Christianity, as what they usually suppose, including Christmas. This was the answer of Preacher Eliseo Soriano, famous for the name Bro. Eli, who holds the long standing program “Ask Bro. Eli” that started as a radio program of the evangelist.
In a live interactive program held recently (9/10/2007, Vigan Ilocos Sur, Philippines) via satellite from the United States, an inquirer asked Soriano if December 25 is Jesus Christ’s birthdate. Bro. Eli then answered consulting the Catholic Encyclopedia since the tradition came from them.
In the Catholic Encyclopedia, it is stated that original pagans of Rome celebrated December 25 as the birth of their sun god, Ra. When Catholicism begun, the Catholic officials adopted the pagan tradition as Jesus Christ’s birthdate, due to their lack of understanding about the time from the Bible.
Dr. Samuel Bayo Arowolaju, a history scholar and author of Nigeria World Online, in his statements supported the answer of Soriano. He said, “We have said earlier that the pagan city of Ancient Rome was the first place that Christmas was celebrated and on December 25. This day, historically, was the climax for the celebration of the festival marking the rebirth of the Unconquerable Sun god or what was called “Dies Natalis Solis Invicti” or simply “Solis Invictus.” The celebration that usually started on December 22 was concluded on December 25. Accordingly, it was the celebration of the time or day when the daylight began to be longer than nighttime in winter, the so-called the rebirth of the sun.
Soriano also emphasized that in Bethlehem, during December, the place is covered with snow, making it impossible for any manger to accommodate a baby or give space for humans, Joseph and Mary for delivery that time. A manger is a small place where sheep and other cattle are kept until the end of the winter season.
Soriano informed the viewers that it is impossible for the sheep to lie in fields outside, as the fields are covered with thick snow, or the sheep will surely freeze and die. Around the time of Jesus’ birth too, the Roman government under Caesar Augustus required a census. The Roman government would not be that foolish to be requiring its own people to travel at a most vicious time if December 25 which falls at winter time is Jesus’ birthday, he said. Soriano didn’t cite any exact birth date of Jesus Christ as the bible did not mention any, but he said he is certain that the December 25 belief of the Catholics is a lie.
Soriano even noted before the viewers the dishonest lyrics of a Christmas song, The First Noel, in relation to the topic. The line goes…
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter’s night that was so deep
Catholicism is claiming this stand of Christianity as stated in the Catholic Online Encyclopedia: New Advent (2007). Stated is their claim that “the Christianity of which we speak is that which we find realized in the Catholic Church alone.” However, facts and documentary evidences deny this claim.
Of the same topic, Soriano also said that Christmas, the most celebrated tradition in the parts of the globe, is only of commerce. No one can refute this thought. In terms of simple business talk, Christmas season is the time in the whole year round that business establishments are in at high sales. From Christmas decors to the expensive Christmas feast, people are willing to spend even beyond their budget just to trail along with the wrong tradition of which origin they are unaware of. In the poor countries like in the Philippines, crimes like hold up and robbery are in their peak during this season, based on news reports.
Thea Alberto and Alcuin Papa of Philippine Daily Inquirer.Net reported about the recent warning of Chief Superintendent Eric Javier of the National Capital Region Police Office. In the article titled, Brace for rise in crimes during ‘ber’ months, cops warn (16/10/2007), Javier was saying that crime rate rises when Christmas season is approaching. Previous reports also showed that when culprits were asked about their motivation, they pointed to the need to catch up with their families with the traditional Noche Buena, which many in the upper social strata enjoy every year.
A tradition then that is founded upon lies and false beliefs results in serious mishaps to society, as well as create a disastrous effect on the character of many. The Christmas the way the Catholic world celebrates it is quite different from the spirit of Christ’s birth, according to Soriano. Supposedly a peaceful one as Christ’s birth was, it is too noisy. “I am sorry,” Soriano said, “I am just telling you the truth. Your pasko is different from the pasko in the Bible.”
Other Catholic Issues Discussed
Salvation in Priesthood?
Someone asked regarding the condition in salvation of his relative who is in a Catholic priesthood. Soriano answered straightforward “I am sad to say that he, as well as those in the same position, is identified in the Bible as false preacher.”
An Issue of Good Relations
An inquirer who happened to be a Catholic mother of one of the member of Bro. Eli’s congregation asked why it is forbidden for the members to go to family affairs like church weddings and child baptisms.
Soriano corrected her that the question might lead to misconceptions about relating to one’s family. He said that in the congregation he is leading, he is imposing and encouraging the members to have good relations with their own families, regardless of their religious beliefs and differences. In order to have good relations with the people around us, good manners are required. Thus this is encouraged and imposed by the TOP preacher among the members in the congregation. However, to acknowledge or to follow the doctrines of other religions is a different thing. Soriano explained, “Ask your son (a member of the congregation) to do some errand’ he should obey you; but ask him to acknowledge false gods, that is forbidden!”
Sinning through idolatries
Another Catholic inquirer asked if what other Catholic folks are saying that people are sinning when they were not going to church for their traditional mass is true. Bro. Eli answered that people are actually sinning when they are attending the mass services of the Catholic Church where idolatry is practiced and known for.
It is not a matter whether Jesus Christ was born in December or September, or it is commercialized and non-commercialized. What is the important is the message;

different from the year of the world today. The years that are known to the world today are largely influenced by the Roman Empire. It is unbiblical, baseless and pagan practice and tradition. If we are going to base our years in the Biblical calendar, we can see the true and accurate year counts. The Bible is complete. It contains science, technology, history, anthropology, chemistry, economics, politics and all other branches of sciences existing today even the calendar that the world should use and follow instead. The Bible has its own CALENDAR. The Biblical new year will fall sometime on March or April and has the more accurate year counts than of the world’s calendar today aka the “Gregorian Calendar.”

If you will read Tim Kurek’s post, you will know that he really is not ready to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ from anyone outside his church. He is still confused. He is still weighing things out and still deliberating - proving in himself that his Church can still be corrected. He wants to learn of the truth but not yet ready to let go of the teachings that he primarily learned from his country, his group, his church.

I presume you’re still a youngster and a member of the KKTK (Kapisanan ng Kabataan Tungo sa Kasakdalan) or in English is the CYTP (Congregation of the Youth Towards Perfection) maybe or even not. As for the name of our group or congregation as youngsters, it is calling, inviting, encouraging and pushing us to be perfect towards and for God’s greater glory. As the youth, we can do a lot. I could proudly say to the whole world with due respect and with all my modesty intact that we, the youth in the Church of God is the very fulfilment of the the very saying of our very own Malayan and the Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal Alonzo Y Realonda saying, “The youth is the hope of the fotherland.” We could even amend it to a better, higher level based on God’s righteousnes and glory saying, “The youth well taught and directed with Christ’s righteousness is truly the hope of the fatherland.” Let us continue working for the fulfilment of this dream and vision of Rizal.
Anent to these, the day before yesterday and that was Sunday, we had our Mass Indoctrination Caravan and Information Drive and leaflets giving. It is truly difficult to convince wicked people to make believe the truths we believe in for many have gone out in the world in these last days of perilous times who are indulging and even perfecting themselves in diverse mundane things and in Satan’s diversionary stuffs. Thanks be to God bro for moving you to remind me such verses. Though I know them well, but sometimes, I tend to forget them for a while as I was carried away by the circumstances, the situation and by my emotion. My outburtst emotion drawn me into insensitivity and harsh attitude towards dealing with the problems and pacifying the quo. But, it is not yet too late to have the partchworks and start anew while continuously traversing the old paths that appraoches godliness, holiness, perfection, eternity and true happiness. God’s love and lovingkindness are more than enough reasons for us to offer thaknsgiving to God, even the God of Israel and our Almightry Father for all things whether odd or best things, everyday, every single moment of our life.
Last night, the Mass Indoctrination has started and its good that the turnout of the respondents are great in number. It enlarges our heart and move us on to be always and very thankful to God. It is just in our locale in EDSA-CUBAO but much more if we will consolidate the overall turnouts of all the locales all over the globe. These are the concrete manifestations of the very fulfilment of God’s words and promises (Jeremiah 30:18-20)

Actually what St. Paul trying to emphasize here is after you attain freedom you have to go back to the slaves but not to turn slaves again but rather to free the slaves

Actually the mean point of St. Paul here is like what Feng Shui done in which the people is relying to the superstitious belief instead to GOD.
Because St. Paul know it brother that when you are in Christ you are already a “man of grace”.
This is a disadvantage brother if you are focusing to the writings of St. Paul specially if you did not know how to handle it and did not yet master or understand the four gospel. If you still not know how to handle it brother this could lead you into a ditch and you will become a narrow minded and a persecutor of freedom and this freedom is unit measurent of love.
